The eTow prelaunch

To say that we were excited for the prelaunch of the eTow in fall 2022 is an understatement. We couldn’t wait to share this new electric watercraft with the world. That’s why the time and place of unveiling were crucial and that’s when we circled in on 2 strategic locations and events: the "Salon Náutico de Barcelona" and the "Fort Lauderdale Boat Show".

Barcelona Boat Show

As our headquarters are in the sunny, Mediterranean metropolis of Barcelona, it only seemed logical that the European prelaunch of the eTow would take place here.
Situated in the emblematic Port Vell (old harbor) of the city, the Barcelona Boat Show is dedicated to showcasing the latest trends and novelties in the world of yachting, sailing and nautical activities.

From the 12th to the 16th of October 22 our team attended the Salón Náutico Barcelona, presenting the eTow for the first time in Spain. The 5 days were filled with professionals and visitors, who had a chance to examine the eTow from close up and find out what this personal electric watercraft is and how it works on the water.

Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

As they say: no rest for the wicked! So right after the Barcelona Boat Show we packed our bags and headed over the big pond straight to the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, which took place from the 26th to 30th of October.

Being the largest in-water presence of boats and marine exhibits in the world and often the premier destination of notable debuts for a range of luxury yachts, boats and aquatic toys, the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show was the perfect event to prelaunch the eTow in the US.

The city is known as the Venice of the United States and we couldn’t agree more. The countless canals and bays make this coastal city perfect for any watersports and the eTow is no exception.

The event was a full success, with part of the team showcasing our full electric range at the booth at the FLIBS and the other half doing demos at the Takuma house in Fort Lauderdale.

We were able to welcome a lot of guests at the house, give them a deeper understanding of how the eTow works and how it is propelled in the water. The absolute highlights were the test rides, once in the water with the eTow it was hard to convince the riders to come out.

We are so stoked about everyone who came to the shows and stopped by to say hi to the team, test the product and got to know Takuma better. We are excited to see what 2023 brings! See you at the next event!
